Confluence 2021
There is a special place in the forest near my home where the river and a creek meet, mingle and flow together towards the sea, or else rush urgently, depending on the season and the rains.
My artwork is about going down to the river - being there, spending time and being present - watching, listening and feeling the warmth of the sun or the cool of the breezes.
I crouch beside the water when the river is silently flowing and almost still. The reflections draw me in, down deep, into an upside-down world. My perception of how the world looks is turned upon its head. For a little while an imaginary world holds sway.
