Artist Statement

My work is developing into playful examinations of the paradoxical relationship between beauty and ruin. I am interested in both the seductive and destructive qualities of plastic and other materials. By using both ‘straight’ photographs and digitally manipulated images, I create simple juxtapositions of objects and environments raising questions about human connection to or separation from the natural world.
